Since I had so much fun writing about comment spam before, I just had to do it again. This time, I thought it would be interesting to see which posts were the most popular with spammers. The results might surprise you…

Can You Add Spam To Spam?

Ironically, the post that got by far the most comment spam was a post about.. you guessed it, comment spam. As usually, most was your garden variety praise:

I’m so glad I found my solution onnile.

Thanks for tris interesting information! I found it very useful =)

Really interesting blog, keep up the good work!

Some of the praise was a little harder to understand, like this cryptic gem:

This website online is mostly a walk-by way of for all the info you wished about this and didn’t know who to ask. Glimpse right here, and also you’ll positively discover it.

I think whoever wrote this likes my site, but who can really be sure. Luckily, this next spammer leaves no doubts as to his opinion:

I strongly can’t agree with your point but it’s your opinion – I understand it.

I guess you just can’t please everyone. Oh well.

Finally, then there was this fascinating offer:

Would you be fascinated with exchanging hyperlinks?

I must admit, I was pretty fascinated, especially because the offer came from a site proclaiming to help you create “cosmic order”.

You Have a Familiar Face

My second most spammed post was one about my old sketches:

I’m so glad that the inetnret allows free info like this!

This makes everything so completely painelss.

Ya learn something new ervedyay. It’s true I guess!

Aritlces like this make life so much simpler.

Hot damn, looking pretty ufseul buddy.

Now we know who the sbensile one is here. Great post!

I guess depending on what “sbensile” is a misspelling of, that last comment could either be praise or biting sarcasm.

Of course, not everything is praise with comment spam. Sometimes they need to do business:

Caillng all cars, calling all cars, we’re ready to make a deal.

I don’t know if this was intended for me or my car, but we’re both definitely ready to make a deal.

RSS anyone?

My post about RSS got quite a few comments as well, like this one:

I enjoyed your post. I normally have a lack of energy but l always thought the main reason this was because I’m getting older. Maybe l was wrong maybe it is a lack of iron.

I appreciate the candor, but there is such a thing as too much information. And speaking of candor, there was this:

Hi there. I appreciated your post here at The Joy of RSS but I am definitely not liking the design and style. Is it a common style or some thing? Best regards though and Continue on posting!

Ok, I must admit, this one kind of hurt. What exactly is wrong with the design and style of my blog? Is it not colorful enough? Too spartan? Wrong fonts? Crappy logo? Please tell me, I really want to know.
